Keep your poultry warm over the winter

In cold weather, it is difficult to keep the chicken's water from freezing. Here are some solutions:

Store the water fountains in a heated area overnight, then bring them back to the coop or pen each morning. Some people have two sets of water fountains for their chickens so they can spin them. These ideas work, but are often messy and labor-intensive.

Take out warm water each morning and use it to thaw and fill the chicken drinker. It's a little taxing. If it is very cold, you may need to defrost the chicken water heater several times a day.

Place the water fountain in the coop. With the heat generated by the chickens, your coop will likely remain warm enough to prevent the water from freezing without supplemental heat. If not, you can add supplemental calories to the coop.

Use a chicken waterer heated base. If you have electricity near your coop, a heated poultry drinker is a good option. A similar option is to use a heated dog bowl to maintain the correct temperature and not get too hot. Use a heated drinker base. The heated poultry drinker base saves energy and can be used with plastic or metal drinkers, making it very safe to use

The base of heated water bowl for chickens adopts stainless steel design, the poultry water dispenser has higher heat transfer efficiency and no rust, which can effectively avoid the problem of freezing the water dispenser in winter.
