If it is oil-based, you will need an "oil-proof or oil-proof" pre-filter such as the P100, in which case the R, P and HE filters can also be used. If exposed to fire, some Respirator components, including hoods and masks, may melt. Special filters are required to protect against carbon monoxide and other gases.

Finally, when choosing full face mask, consider comfort, fit and price. Regardless of the brand, wearing the appropriate Respiratory protection in these situations is vital.
